The views were amazing, especially around the gokyo lakes and mountains. Some parts were really hard and mornings were very cold. Sudip, Tek and Ramesh were always checking on us. If someone was behind, one of them stayed with them. That helped a lot. We also had fun at dinner, singing, dancing and playing cards. Everything was arranged well, so we didn’t have to worry about much.

Just finished the Gokyo Lakes trek with Mountain World Treks . it was harder than I expected. The trail was beautiful, but some parts really tested us, especially when we were already tired and the cold made it even harder. Some mornings were extremely cold. We carried our small backpacks, and there were times when even that felt too much. Meanwhile, we kept seeing the porters walking ahead with such heavy loads and wondered how they were doing it. i guess nepalese are just built different. Niraj and Bipin were really good guides. They kept checking on everyone and made sure nobody was left alone. If someone was walking slowly, one of them would stay back. There were times we were tired and not in the best mood, but they would crack a joke or encourage us, and somehow the walk felt a little easier. The accommodation was comfortable enough after a long day. Everything was arranged properly, so we didn’t have to worry about rooms, food, routes or other things. We could just focus on walking and enjoying the trek. It was tough, cold and tiring at times, but definitely worth it. We would happily trek with Mountain World Treks again.

Saligram was a brilliant guide and tour operator. Really looked after us on our Gokyo Ri Trek, Chitwan and Pokhara. He has really good knowledge of the Himalyan area and provided much entertainment, laughter and joy during our epic journey.
